All theatres are equipped with advanced anaesthesia equipment and have full monitoring facilities.
They are furnished with separate handling units, thus ensuring very efficient positive air-pressure and flow conforming to the highest safety standards. Piped medical gases include oxygen, N20, 4bar and 7bar compressed air. All theatre equipment is backed by an independent ‘Uniterrupted Power Supply’ which ensures no loss of power during surgery in the event of any power failure or even generator back-up failure. One operating theatre is equipped with an ultraclean ventilation system which is mainly used for orthopaedic surgery and neuro surgery.
The theatre suite also houses an immediate recovery area from which a patient is transferred to the individual room.
