BioValley Complementary & Integrated Medicine Centre
The Saint James Hospital BioValley Centre in Burmarrad is a new concept housing a combination of complementary and integrated medicine techniques.
BioValley was inspired by the late Helen Muscat. Mrs Muscat, who was a nurse by profession, had always longed for a Centre to be set up in Malta that would combine all possible approaches that could help people enhance their quality of life, especially when their physical and psychological well-being are under duress.
People from all walks of life can benefit from our Centre. Complementary and integrated medicine gave Helen an important stimulus during her fight against cancer, and together with the medical treatments that she was receiving, her quality of life was preserved to the extent that this was possible.
BioValley offers a vast range of services which are all aimed at alleviating and improving quality of life and enhancing the outlook towards life of people who are suffering from one type of disorder or another, both physical and/or psychological. People who suffer from cancer may be the ones who will benefit the most when making use of these types of approaches. The centre is focused around providing a 360° approach towards fighting the effects of an array of pathologies that affect us as human beings. The approach merges the efforts of scientifically based medicine with complementary medicine with the aim of maximising the well-being of the individuals who seek treatment for their ailments.
BioValley is committed towards continuously implementing the latest research-based treatments that are being practiced by world renowned centres in Europe and America, for the benefit of the Maltese public.
Below is a detailed list of the services offered by our top consultants:
Within the unconscious mind resides our imagination, emotions, memories, our automatic body responses, habit patterns and our most deeply held beliefs about ourselves and what we believe is possible for us.
These deeply held patterns and beliefs drive our decisions and shape our lives and the quality of our perceptions. When we desire to make a lasting, positive change in our lives, it is these unconscious patterns that we must change.
Hypnotherapy is a safe, proven and effective tool for directly accessing the power or the unconscious mind.
Originally developed for self-defense, Tai Chi has evolved into a graceful form of exercise that is now used for stress reduction and a variety of other health conditions. Often described as meditation in motion, Tai Chi promotes serenity through gentle, flowing movements. Tai chi is low impact and puts minimal stress on muscles and joints, making it generally safe for all ages and fitness levels. In fact, because Tai Chi is low impact, it may be especially suitable if you are an older adult who otherwise may not exercise.
